Overview

badrgo is building the next generation of ride‑hailing and super‑app services across the Middle East and North Africa. To support our expansion into new markets, new verticals, and AI‑native capabilities, we are launching a structured internship program targeting emerging talent in technology, data, strategy, and creative disciplines.

Our internship program is designed for senior students and recent graduates who are passionate about solving real‑world problems, working in a fast‑growing tech environment, and contributing meaningfully to our product and organizational development.

Program Overview

Duration: 3–6 months (flexible, depending on role and candidate availability)

Location: Doha, Qatar (hybrid arrangements may be available)

Target Audience: Senior university students and recent graduates (0–2 years post‑graduation)

Key Outcomes: Interns will complete meaningful projects, build industry skills, and potentially transition into full‑time roles based on performance and business needs.

How to Apply

Department: Security

Reporting To: Head of Information & Cyber Security / CISO

Role Summary

Support the Security team in strengthening the protection of our platforms, data, riders, and drivers, while learning how a modern ride‑hailing and super‑app secures its cloud and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in documenting and updating security policies, standards, and procedures. Help review basic security configurations for cloud resources, applications, and endpoints under supervision.
  • Support vulnerability management activities (asset inventories, tracking findings, following up on remediation).
  • Participate in security monitoring and incident response drills (e.g., playbook reviews, tabletop exercises).
  • Contribute to security awareness materials for internal teams (simple guides, checklists, slides).

What You Will Learn

  • Fundamentals of information security governance, risk, and compliance in a digital platform.
  • How cloud, application, and data security work together in a real production environment.
  • Exposure to security tools (e.g., vulnerability scanners, monitoring and logging tools, IAM concepts).
  • Best practices in security incident response and threat modeling.

Department: Data & AI

Reporting To: Head of Data & AI or Lead Data Engineer

Role Summary

Work with the Data & AI team to help build our modern data platform and AI‑native capabilities, including data pipelines, analytics, and early ML use cases for our ride‑hailing and super‑app ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines that ingest and transform data from our apps and backend systems.
  • Help prepare and clean datasets for analytics and experimentation (e.g., trips, drivers, riders, incentives).
  • Support creation of dashboards and reports for product, operations, and growth teams.
  • Contribute to basic exploratory data analysis and simple ML experiments under guidance.
  • Document data models, definitions, and work lows to improve data discoverability and quality.

What You Will Learn

  • How a real‑time data platform, data lake/lakehouse, and analytics stack are designed in a tech company.
  • Practical skills in SQL and at least one scripting language used for data work (e.g., Python).
  • Exposure to core AI/ML concepts applied to marketplace problems (demand, pricing, fraud, personalization).
  • Data quality, governance, and the importance of reliable data for business decisions.

  • Solid foundation in SQL and basic data analysis; familiarity with Python or R is a plus.

Department: Strategy & Growth

Reporting To: Head of Strategy or Chief Operating Officer

Role Summary

Support the Strategy and Growth teams in building business cases for new verticals that extend our ride‑hailing offering, including peer‑to‑peer delivery, tourism excursions, and other mobility‑adjacent services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research market size, competitive landscape, and customer needs for new verticals (e.g., P2P delivery, tourism, corporate transport).
  • Build structured business cases and financial models (revenue, cost, unit economics, sensitivity scenarios).
  • Support design of MVP propositions, pricing hypotheses, and go‑to‑market options for each vertical.
  • Prepare clear presentations and documents for leadership decision‑making and partner discussions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Marketing to gather inputs and validate assumptions

What You Will Learn

  • How to structure business cases and financial models in a tech/mobility context.
  • Market research methodologies and competitive analysis frameworks.
  • Go‑to‑market strategy and the fundamentals of platform expansion. How strategy connects product, operations, nance, and marketing across a multi‑country organization.

  • Strong analytical and Excel/Sheets skills; basic financial modeling exposure is a plus.
  • Comfortable turning research and data into clear recommendations and decks. Interest in tech, mobility, tourism, and platform business models.

Department: Marketing & Brand

Reporting To: Head of Marketing or Creative Director

Role Summary

Work with the Marketing and Product teams to create motion graphics and digital content that tell our brand story, explain new features, and improve user engagement across our app and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce short motion graphics, animations, and micro‑videos for app screens, social media, and paid campaigns.
  • Adapt existing brand assets and guidelines into dynamic content for different platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product and UX to create in‑app explainer animations and onboarding content.
  • Prepare assets in the right formats and sizes for web, app stores, and social platforms.
  • Help maintain an organized library of creative assets and templates.

What You Will Learn

  • Professional motion graphics and video production workflows in a tech environment.
  • How to adapt creative content for different platforms (app, web, social, advertising).
  • Collaboration between creative, product, and marketing teams.
  • Best practices in user engagement and storytelling through motion design.

Department: Technology / Engineering

Reporting To: Engineering Lead or VP Engineering

Role Summary

Support our Technology and Product teams in improving technical documentation and knowledge sharing, helping to bring our documentation from subpar to a reliable, usable source for engineers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit existing documentation for services, APIs, data flows, and system architecture to identify gaps and inconsistencies.
  • Work with engineers and product managers to capture up‑to‑date information and translate it into clear documentation.
  • Create and maintain structured docs (e.g., service overviews, API references, runbooks, onboarding guides).
  • Help de ne and enforce documentation standards, templates, and taxonomy. Organize content in our chosen documentation and collaboration tools for easy discovery and reuse.

What You Will Learn

  • How modern tech companies structure and maintain internal technical knowledge.
  • How to translate complex technical concepts into clear, usable documentation. Practical experience with technical writing, information architecture, and knowledge management tools.
  • How documentation supports product quality, onboarding, and operational excellence.
